1804 & 1904: This is a big day for St. Louis. The Lewis and Clark expedition leaves from there in 1804 and 100 years later it becomes the first U.S. city to host the Olympics! In honor of the brave explorers, the Olympic events of bear trappin', baby carryin' and country expandin' were added to the Games.[source]
